Abstract:
The representation of a male figure leading a griffin on a LM II seal of the Heraclion Museum (figs. 1 - 2 ; plan 1 ) is compared to the Priest- King relief from Knossos (fig. 3 ).This comparison seems to be in favour of the composition proposed by Evans of the fragments of the relief and of their dating in the LM I period.
