Abstract:
A banquet - room ( άνδρών ) belonging to an Hellenistic house was found in Eretria ( C/10 ) last summer.The floor is covered with a pebble mosaic. The central motif consists of a rosette in a circle, inscribed in a square. The entry panel represents a scene of Centauromachy.The mosaic must be dated to the end of the 3rd or beginning of the 2nd century B.C.
