Glypha or Vlycha in Boeotia : the mycenean Aulis (?)

Rescue excavations in recent years have yielded new information about the hill of Glypha, where prehistoric remains had been noted in the past.The architectural remains and the pottery, which starts in EH and continues into LH IIIC and is of excellent quality,as well as the location of the hill, situated very close to the Classical Aulis, are strong evidence that this is the site of the Mycenean Aulis. This suggestion, however, needs the support of more evidence, which only future excavations can provide.
