Abstract:
This project presents the view of Continuing Education in Greek Tertiary Education. It focuses on the courses on Continuing Education at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs of Studies, which are offered by the Greek Universities.Initially, certain information about the methodology, which has been followed, is mentioned in order to collect the research data. Furthermore, emphasis is given to the starting date of the courses on Continuing Education in every University of Greece. Concerning the Undergraduate Programs of Studies, gathered data for the courses on Continuing Education is provided, such as the title of those courses since 1988 and the courses, which were taught during the academic year 2002-2003 per University, as well.Next, the total number of the postgraduate programs, which operate today in Greek Universities and foresee the teaching of courses on Continuing Education, is portrayed. Are given particular data about the title of the above-mentioned courses since 1988. Finally, a general report on the teachers of the courses on Continuing Education at the undergraduate and postgraduate level follows.
