The Ε.U. and the international Community are facing Public Health as an issue of first priority. Multiple studies were performed on the condition of universal health, investigating the factors causing illness and poor health, as well as the measures taken. The basic results showed that there are major inequalities among peoples and mainly the socioeconomic factors affect the quality of the wellbeing. Therefore, poverty is directly related to illness and the rate of mortality. The fact that the inequalities among people have a negative impact on public health, it was concluded that the gender equality may contribute to its safeguard and promotion. Besides and for various reasons, women are a social group vulnerable to poverty. About gender equity, both sexes claim equal rights in health, but also, certain unique needs of each sex should be taken in consideration. In the frame of this approach we point out the contribution of Career Guidance to the promotion of Health, including the dimension of the gender equity. The common elements and purposes of both fields are emphasized. Mainly, health is a fundamental factor for a professional's career. The final common goal is to help people enjoy a happy, productive and creative long life.
