Abstract:
The management of the perpetual tourist development of a destination must not be dealt with as a productive entity where through its unconditional development we seek the maximization of the benefits without restrictions. We ought to act within the frame of a mild, responsible and conservative development, which is achieved through a well organized and directed strategic planning. The absolute aesthetic and the relative visual value of the ecological landscape ought to be directly interrelated so as to maximize tourism’s impact on socio-economic development and to avoid potential pitfalls.
